About Japan Minpaku Map

Clearer data for more confident short-term rental decisions in Japan.

Our Mission

Japan’s short-term rental rules are complex, and international investors have lacked a practical way to evaluate a location before committing capital. Japan Minpaku Map brings zoning, municipal ordinances, transport access, and tourism demand together in one investment suitability score.

Why We Built This

Property buyers often have to piece together zoning maps, municipal rules, building restrictions, and demand indicators from separate Japanese-language sources. That fragmented process is especially difficult for investors working from overseas.

We built this service to make the first stage of due diligence faster and easier to understand. It highlights promising areas, explains the factors behind each score, and points users toward the official checks they must still complete before purchasing or filing a minpaku notification.

Data & Methodology

Our map combines public-sector and open datasets with derived suitability scores. Review the source, licensing, update, and attribution details on our Data Sources page.
